LightRSS is an RSS reader service that allows users to:

  • Subscribe to and manage RSS feeds
  • Read articles from subscribed feeds
  • Organize feeds into categories
  • Import and export feeds using OPML format

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account

3.2 Account Limits

  • Free Plan: Up to 50 RSS feed subscriptions
  • Pro Plan: Up to 500 RSS feed subscriptions
  • We reserve the right to modify these limits with notice

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Transmit any viruses, malware, or harmful code
  • Use the Service to violate the intellectual property rights of others
  • Abuse, harass, or harm other users

5. RSS Feed Content

5.1 Third-Party Content

  • RSS feeds contain content from third-party publishers
  • We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for RSS feed content
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to access content from feeds you subscribe to

5.2 Content Storage

  • We fetch and store articles from your subscribed RSS feeds
  • Stored content is for your personal use only
  • We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or legality of RSS feed content

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Rights

  • The Service, including its design, features, and functionality, is owned by us
  • All trademarks, logos, and brand names are our property

6.2 Your Content

  • You retain ownership of any content you provide
  • By using the Service, you grant us a license to store, process, and display your RSS feeds and associated data

7. Subscription and Payment

7.1 Free Plan

  • The free plan is available to all registered users
  • Free plan includes up to 50 RSS feed subscriptions

7.2 Pro Plan

  • Pro plan requires a paid subscription
  • Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually as selected
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

7.3 Cancellation and Refunds

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • Refund Policy: We offer full refunds for subscription fees upon request
  • Refund requests will be processed and resolved within 24 hours of receipt
  • To request a refund, please contact us at support@lightrss.com
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the subscription

8. Service Availability

  • We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access
  • The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or unforeseen circumstances
  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time

9. Data and Privacy

  • Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy
  • We collect and process data as described in our Privacy Policy
  • You are responsible for backing up your RSS feed subscriptions

10. Limitation of Liability

  • The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the past 12 months
  • We are not responsible for:
    • Loss of data or content
    • RSS feed availability or accuracy
    • Third-party content or links
    • Service interruptions or downtime

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Content you provide or RSS feeds you subscribe to

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Non-payment of fees (for Pro subscriptions)
  • Extended account inactivity

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through the account settings.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved through:

  • Good faith negotiation
  • If negotiation fails, binding arbitration in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA).
  • Class action waivers apply

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
